February is Save Your Vision Month
Did you know that every year millions of Americans lose their vision to disease, accidents, and injuries? The American Academy of Optometry advises everyone to receive yearly eye examinations to reduce or prevent vision loss from disease. They also recommend that everyone, young and old, wear sunglasses to avoid the sun’s harmful UV rays. Many ordinary activities can result in serious injuries, so it is important that safety eyewear is worn while changing car batteries, mowing your lawn, working with chemicals, and performing other hazardous activities around the home and workplace.
